Our Dedicated Teachers & Staff
Maryna
Director & Co-Founder
My name is Maryna and I am a director and co-founder of Fairyland. Together with my partner Oksana, we established this daycare over 20 years ago with a vision of creating a safe, engaging, and healthy environment for children of dual-language families. I came from Ukraine over 25 years ago and have experienced the challenges and opportunities of adapting to a new culture while trying to maintain one's heritage. When we started Fairyland, we wanted to create a place for children where their backgrounds and heritage are valued while also helping them learn English and be ready to enter the school system. I enjoy working with children and their families and learning about their unique needs and goals. My passion is providing quality care and education that supports bilingualism, multiculturalism, and personal growth. I am also a happy grandmother of 5 grandchildren, all of whom went to Fairyland daycare. I love traveling, going on hikes, and spending time with my family and friends.
Oksana
Director & Co-Founder
I'm Oksana and I'm one of the directors at Fairyland. I have over 20 years of experience working with children and parents and I think that daycare teachers have the most vital jobs in the world – helping to raise humans who are kind, independent, smart and caring. At Fairyland, we have always aimed to make a place of happiness and warmth for our children, where they are comfortable, like at home, and always have something fun to do. The best part of my job is seeing our children’s happy faces and getting their hugs and “I love you’ s". It is an honor to be involved in children’s growth and development while they are in our daycare - watching them socialize, cooperate, and form their own personalities and individuality. I know that every child is unique, and we try to adapt our approach to each child, taking into account their interests and needs. Working with children gives me great joy, as we get to see how our care and interaction with them affects how they advance and flourish. We believe there is nothing more important than helping children become happy, confident people!
Tania
Pre-K Teacher
Bellevue
My name is Tanya and I have been with Fairyland since 2015. I came to the US after a long career as an elementary school teacher in Russia, where I have a Bachelor’s degree in Preliminary Education. I also have a background in ballroom dancing, which I practiced since I was young, and I taught Rhythmics as well. Teaching and working with children is my passion – it’s what I do best and what I enjoy the most. The most important thing when working with children is to recognize and appreciate that they are individuals. Children need to be respected and supported. When I work with children, I pay close attention to their individuality and make sure that I always celebrate their achievements and respect their feelings. Outside of work, I love traveling and spending time with my children and grandchildren.
Katya
Toddler & Preschool Teacher
Bellevue
My name is Katya, and I was born and raised in Republic of Moldova where I originally studied and worked as an Engineer. I have a degree in Engineering in Food Industry from the Polytechnic Institute and have worked in this field for several years. AT some point in my life I discovered that my true passion is working with children. I always enjoyed organizing children's parties and babysitting - I had a lot of fun with them, because I felt like I could always relate to them. This discovery motivated me to pursue my second degree in English and Bulgarian language and literature, which would enable me to become a teacher. I obtained my degree from State Pedagogical University and have more than 6 years of teaching experience with children. In my classes, I aim to create a comfortable and pleasant environment, where every kid feels happy and cozy. What I love the most about my job is sharing knowledge, skills, interacting with children, seeing their improvement, and helping them overcome challenges. I view the teacher-student relationship as an opportunity to foster each child's potential by supporting his/her unique talents. Working with children is very fulfilling for me because they are like a fountain of joy. I respect their pure and honest personalities and their bravery. They are energetic and optimistic. I'm happy to be a teacher here at Fairyland learning center! As for my hobbies, I like to read Russian and British literature in my free time, I'm a huge fan of music (music is always with me), and of course cooking is something else I love to do.

I am Irina and I have been working at Fairyland for 5 years. I have a teaching degree in Russian language and literature and a lot of teaching experience. I enjoy my work and love interacting with children, responding to their endless "whys", and guiding them to understand and explore the world. For me, my work is more than a job – I really love and value what I do. I have an amazing opportunity to discover this remarkable world again and again with my students every day. I am happy when children enjoy learning, and when I see their progress. In my free time, I like reading, traveling, appreciating nature, and being with my loved ones. Reading is my way to relax and enter another world. Books help me improve my skills and widen my perspective.

I'm Valentina and I have been a Fairyland employee for 5 years. I love working with children and supporting them in their learning and growth with imaginative activities and crafts. What I enjoy the most is observing children's feelings and responses to various situations and assisting them to comprehend and manage those feelings. When I'm not working, I like being outdoors and listening to music. I often go for walks in the rain with my headphones on.
